Pet insurance in Spain Aah, the universal question: are women more intelligent than men? Well, let’s look at the facts – diamonds are a girl’s best friend, dogs are a man’s best friend. I think that more or less settles the debate!
Seriously, if a Fido or Fluffy is your best friend, we can now offer insurance against loss or theft, accidental death, and of course vet’s fees, which although not at the horrendous levels now seen in the UK are still not exactly cheap. We work with Protectapet, Spain’s leading provider in this specialist field, and the main features and benefits are as follows:
Veterinary Fees: Vets bills are included, with an unlimited number of claims, and including home visits and hospitalisation.
Boarding Kennel Fees: Kennel/cattery fees will be paid if you or your partner are hospitalised for more than 48 hours.
Lost or Stolen: Pets need to be found quickly, so local advertising costs and/or a reward scheme will be paid for.
Premiums Fixed for Life: Your premiums will be kept at the same level each year, regardless of the number of claims you may make.
Accidental Death: A full refund of the purchase price of your pet up to a maximum of €500.
Any Breed or Age Accepted: All cats and dogs over 8 weeks can be covered; older pets can be insured for the same price.
Immediate Cover: Immediate cover against accidents and emergencies, with illness cover effective 21 days from date of issue.
European & International Cover: European, International, Transportation and Travel cover are available on request.
